Less Horsepower Per Cut

Because the gibs, wedges, and wedge screws are now located on the side of the knife opposite the cut, the chip removal “gullet” can be built into the head body in a much larger and efficient form. This enhances chip formation and removal and can significantly reduce horsepower per cut requirements.
